1952A Dot Rev D One Penny Different 2 Pointed tail |
Here is an interesting penny is a Perth mint A dot coin with the D reverse. The D reverse is characterised by the P in Penny and the U in Australia pointing directly at thick rim beads/ denticles, and comes with figure 2 variations. This one is the pointed Serif type.
Coin has a large mis-strike off centre, showing good doubling( even ghosting really) of date and Penny, as well as split serif's on obverse lettering.
Coin has a large gouge on obverse unfortunately, otherwise would be a EF coin.
All comment welcome, in fact would be appreciated on this one
