Ireland "Triangle" penny of Edward I
Mediaeval Irish pennies have a unique characteristic - many of them have the portrait contained in a triangular frame, rather than the usual circular one.

The obverse scan doesn't show the portrait very clearly - the cross on the reverse has "ghosted through", somewhat distorting it.

Obverse legend: EDW.R. ANGL.D NS.hYB (Edward, King of England, Lord of Ireland)

Reverse legend: CIVI TAS DVBL INIE (City of Dublin)
