1966 Round 80% Silver 50 Cent NO REAL DOUBLE BARS
Some collectors still refer to a 1966 Double Bar coin, where the reeding extends to the back of the emus head.
This was an intentional design feature, that was later removed, as was thought it caused a weak spot on the die.
No 1966 has a full double bar like the 1979 and 1980 years, but all show remnants of the poor work when removing by the technicians.
These Remnants can also be found on all COA rev 50 cent in the series to date, if you look hard enough.
